Bill Catalano is one of the company’s founding directors. With more than sixty years of experience in the transport and earthmoving industry, Bill’s boundless energy and commitment to what he does continues to provide strong inspiration and leadership to the company.
Clem Catalano
Director / Secretary
Having joined B&J Catalano in 1977, Clem has extensive experience in the transport and material supply side of the business. Clem leads the transport division including materials supply in Perth and the Midwest regions and has built up a wealth of networks and contacts across the industry.
Stephen Catalano
Director
Stephen joined B&J Catalano in 1980 within the earthmoving and civil contracting side of the business. He currently leads the earthworks and civil contracting division and oversees the heavy equipment workshops, equipment hire, earthworks and major mining contracts. Stephen also takes a keen interest in the maintenance aspects of the business.

Peter Renton
General Manager – Transport & Materials
Peter joined B&J Catalano in early 2017 as the South West Manager for the Transport, Materials & Haulage division. He has over thirty-five years’ experience in strategic operations management, haulage management, risk management, safety and compliance, maintenance, financial management, stakeholder engagement, leadership, performance management, and recruitment.
Prior to working for B&J Catalano, Peter held roles including General Manager for Kalari, a prominent national specialised bulk haulage company providing logistics services to the mining and resources sectors.
Gary Fishlock
HSEQ & HR Manager
Gary is a seasoned professional with over twenty-five years’ experience navigating complex challenges and spearheading improvement initiatives in HSE and HR, within both corporate and project environments across the civil construction and transport industries.
Proficient in risk management, regulatory compliance, and employee relations, Gary has been instrumental in driving operational excellence and mitigating potential hazards since joining the B&J Catalano team in 2020.
With a passion for continuous improvement and a track record of delivering results, Gary remains dedicated to championing safety, promoting employee well-being, and driving organisational success at every opportunity.
Mick Adams
General Manager – Mining & Civil
Mick Adams, the dynamic Manager of Civil and Mining at B&J Catalano, brings a wealth of experience and a track record of excellence to his role. His leadership has been a driving force behind the remarkable success of the Civil and Mining division.
His deep industry knowledge and unwavering commitment to quality ensure that every project is executed flawlessly and on schedule. Mick’s passion for excellence and his strategic vision make him an indispensable asset to the B&J Catalano team, continuously elevating the standards of the industry.
Steve Cluning
Chief Financial Officer
Steve is a qualified Chartered Accountant with twenty-five years’ experience in accounting and financial management for large corporate entities. He joined B&J Catalano in 2023 having held senior leadership positions for companies in the wood fibre processing industry, and public practice accounting in the South West of Western Australia.
Mark Kingston
General Manager – Fleet, Maintenance & Assets
Mark joined the B&J Catalano maintenance team as a road haulage supervisor in November 2001. Before his promotion to this role, Mark had progressed through the organisation holding roles including Remote Sites Maintenance Coordinator followed by Fleet Manager, where he was responsible for overseeing all trucks, light vehicle and mobile plant maintenance and servicing for B&J Catalano’s remote sites.
Mark has high-level mechanical knowledge. He also excels in managing servicing and maintenance planning for B&J Catalano’s extensive road haulage fleet.
