B&J Catalano is established

B&J Catalano is established using a 1948 Diamond T truck, and 1951 dozer (restored by Bill Catalano from an old wreck found on a farm).

B&J Catalano lands its first major contract

The brothers commence development of the Marlston Hill BP fuel tank site – a Bunbury landmark until its demolition in 1992.

The company purchases its first Mack truck

B&J Catalano buys its first scraper

B&J Catalano buys its first scraper. The Johnson 621J was the first of its kind sold in WA and is still owned by B&J Catalano to this day.

Head office begins construction

Begins construction on what is now its head office in Brunswick, WA. The new building is to incorporate the original building, which is still used today as the company boardroom.

Clearing works commence at the Worsley Alumina plant

Started clearing works for Worsley Alumina, which opened in 1984. B&J Catalano was to continue working for Worsley for the next 36 years.

The new Brunswick office building is completed

After beginning Construction in 1970, the new B&J Catalano office building was completed.

B&J Catalano expands and purchases property in Hazelmere

Increases its transport and material supply reach by expanding into the Perth Metropolitan region by purchasing property in Bushmead Road, Hazlemere. The office building was completed in 2006.
